ELECTION OF OFFICERS
In accordance with the Bylaws of Star USA Federal Credit Union, the 2018 elections will be held by mail ballot. In the event of an election, all ballots must be returned by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Results will be announced at the 82nd Annual Meeting which will be held on Thursday, April 26. Federal regulations allow for members to be nominated for office by petition signed by at least 160 current members. Any member nominated must be willing to serve and provide a written statement affirming that fact. The statement shall also certify the applicant is willing to meet minimum training requirements and they will assume the responsibility for travel costs to the monthly meetings.

82ND ANNUAL MEETING TO BE HELD ON APRIL 26TH
2018 is the 82nd year that Star USA Federal Credit Union has assisted members with loan and savings needs. Although the delivery of financial products has changed dramatically since 1936, the credit union continues to meet the financial needs of its membership.
On Thursday, April 26, 2018, the 82nd Annual Meeting of Star USA will be held at the Alban Theater in St. Albans. The Alban is located at 65 Olde Main Plaza. (Detailed directions may be found at www.star.coop.) The Business Meeting will convene at 5:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served prior to the meeting.
As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, every member in good standing is eligible to attend and participate in the annual meeting. Annual Meeting 2017
The 81st membership meeting of Star USA Federal Credit Union was held on Friday, April 28 at the Alban Arts & Conference Center in St. Albans.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jim Dissen at 11:00 a.m. After introducing the Board and Supervisory Committee, Chairman Dissen reviewed the status of the Credit Union and provided insight into the future of the financial institution.
He then introduced Dan Smithson, the President of Star USA, who provided an in-depth review of the financial structure of the Credit Union as well as discussing the regulatory landscape for the coming years.
The Chairman of the Nominating Committee, Ed Henley, then addressed the membership and advised them that two individuals had been nominated and would be accepted by acclamation for a three year term. Those elected were Jim Dissen and Bill Miller.
Chairman Dissen thanked the members in attendance for their interest in the Credit Union and adjourned the 81st Annual Meeting.

Notary Service is provided free at the Credit Union. Please make an appointment and do not bring documents that are already signed, they cannot be notarized.
