OUR HISTORY

In 1935, employees of Columbia Gas in Pittsburgh, PA, sought federal approval for the creation of a new credit union. That permission was granted on January 3, 1936, and the Colgasco Employees Federal Credit Union began to collect deposits from those employed by Columbia Gas as well as their families.

In 1996, the name was changed to Star USA Federal Credit Union, and today this credit union is providing financial services for nearly 16,000 members. Consumers in 36 states are enjoying the programs and friendly service that is available from Star USA. This credit union has become a primary lending source for those seeking low rates and quality service, as Star USA has originated over S1.5 billion in loans since 1936.

Becoming a member of Star USA is just one click away. If you are seeking the advantages of larger institutions with the personal service of a hometown credit union, choose Star USA!
