What Does Star USA Federal Credit Union Do With Your Personal Information?

WHY?

consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we
collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand
what we do.

WHAT?

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

  • Credit scores and income

  • Payment history and transaction history

When you are no longer our member, we continue to share your information as described in this
notice.

How does Star USA FCU protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
How does Star USA FCU collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you
  • open an account or pay your bills
  • use your credit or debit card or give us your income information
  • make deposits or withdrawals from your account
We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.
Why can't I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only
  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you
State law and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing

Definitions
Affiliates Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
  • Star USA Federal Credit Union has no affiliates.
Nonaffiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
  • Star USA Federal Credit Union does not share with our nonaffiliates so they can market to you.
Joint marketing A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
  • Our joint marketing partners include insurance companies, Credit Union Card Association and Elan Financial Services.

Your Right To Manage Your Online Digital Access


At Star USA Federal Credit Union, we prioritize your privacy and are dedicated to assisting you throughout this process. Should you decide to discontinue using our online services, you have the right to request the deletion of your digital banking account access to your online personal finance profile.

Before requesting the deletion of your digital banking access, please note that for fraud prevention, security, and compliance purposes, we may retain certain data associated with your digital banking profile even after its deletion.

If you wish to proceed with the removal of your digital banking account profile and no longer wish to access your profile online, kindly send an email to starusa@starusafcu.com with the subject line "Request to Delete My Digital Banking Account Profile." Please include the following information:

 

1) Your full name

2) Your preferred phone number

3) Your reason for deleting your digital banking account and online access
